TROPHIES FROM WISHAW

Well done to Michael, Patrick and Rhuirdh for the well deserved result at the IAKSA Wishaw competition - one 2nd place and two 3rd places between all three.  It is a great result for a squad of fighters relatively new to the competition circuit.

The team fight was a bit of non starter for Fife Kickboxing getting beaten in the first two fights meant that Patrick didn't get to fight at all - a decision that seems crazy to me.  The fighters pay to take part and then aren't allowed to fight.  Anyway...

Patrick then had the longest wait in the world for his first fight as Michael and Rhuirdh fought both their semi-contact and light-continuous fights before Patrick got to throw a punch or kick.

At the end of the day I am very proud of the spirit and attitude that the fighters took into the competition today and I think whilst there is always room for improvement, which will come through hard training and self belief, that you all did the club proud today.

Rhuirdh - 2nd place intermediate light continuous  (-85kg)

Michael - 3rd place beginners light continuous (-75kg)

Patrick - 3rd place beginners semi contact (-85kg)
